Sarah’s Love is about Mentoring, Rescuing and Empowering children in Uganda-East Africa through Education, and sharing the love of God.
Girls in the rural parts of Uganda, in families stricken with poverty and those living in slums only have minimal or no opportunities for education.
Many parents especially in rural Uganda marry off their teenage daughters in exchange for a cow, goat or sheep.
It is estimated that 34% of girls are married off before their 18th birthday and 7% are married before they are 15.
Some of these parents look at their daughters as a way out, as assets so they marry them off against their will.
This is because these parents are in abject poverty, and are not able to send their children to school.
And most of the ones living in the slums end up being teenage mothers to men (or boys) who are not in position to take care of them or their children. Sarahz Love provides child sponsorship for children to get an education and supplies some of the needs these families are desperate to receive.
